We are currently seeking God's man for His church gathered at Emmanuel. Resumes can be submitted here.
Karen Moss
Karen Moss serves as the Church Ministries Facilitator. She and her husband, Byrd, grew up on ranches in southern Arizona. They now live on the far west side of Tucson with their Australian shepherd, Annie, a cat, and a few chickens. The horse went with their daughter when she got married almost 6 years ago. Karen says that the best job she’s ever had is being a grandma, and the recent birth of their fourth grandchild just makes that job better and better. She has served at Emmanuel in many capacities but her new duties in church ministries are "by far the best" as she works with the staff and elders in the areas of communication, outreach, community involvement, and coordination of the ministries at Emmanuel.
Tony Antista
Tony Antista moved to Tucson 10 years ago to complete a doctorate in Music at the University of Arizona. He and his wife, Tracey, started ministering through music and the arts at Emmanuel at the same time. In addition to his duties at church, he is on staff and teaches music at a nearby Christian school. His very gifted family members play various instruments in our praise band, sing, work with children and teenagers, and invite everyone over for pasta at least once a year.
Sheli North
Sheli North is a lifelong Tucsonan and graduate of NAU, where she earned a teaching degree. She taught for five years before she and her husband, a fireman, started their family. Four daughters keep them busy enough, but she adds Troop leader at Girl Scouts, leadership at MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), and school volunteer to her to-do list each week. Her passion for sharing God’s word with children is reflected in her work in the Children’s Department at Emmanuel.
Dorothea Zinn
Dorothea Zinn has served as the church secretary for four years. Her motto is “Serve…Serve…Serve…” and she is very involved with her local neighborhood association, the Alvernon/Grant Initiative, Tucson Neighbors Building Community, and a local women’s shelter. She also volunteers with the Tucson Homeless Connect and the Tucson Hopefest. Her only daughter and grandson live in Tucson as well; she’s thinking seriously about adopting a greyhound since her pet birds flew away. Cross-stitch, crochet, and other handcrafts keep her busy during any down time, and she unwinds to loud reggae.
