Sheli North

Sheli North is a lifelong Tucsonan and graduate of NAU, where she earned a teaching degree. She taught for five years before she and her husband, a fireman, started their family. Four daughters keep them busy enough, but she adds Troop Leader at Girl Scouts, substitute teacher, homeroom mother, and lots of volunteer duties to her to-do list each week. Her passion for sharing God’s word with children is reflected in her work in KidZone, the Children’s and Preschool Departments at Emmanuel.

Taylor Treadway

Taylor joins the team at Emmanuel and oversees our student ministries, Rooted for junior high and senior high students, and Area 56 for fifth and sixth graders.  Taylor is a gifted musician and uses those talents on our worship teams playing the electric guitar and singing.   One of his passions is to see students learn to worship through music, and he is developing a student band.  He recently started leading a Bible study and mid-week worship time for adults, and they always end by going out to lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Dorothea Zinn

Dorothea Zinn has served as the church secretary since 2006. Her motto is “Serve…Serve…Serve…” and she is very involved with her local neighborhood association, the Alvernon/Grant Initiative, Tucson Neighbors Building Community, and a local women’s shelter. She also volunteers with the Tucson Homeless Connect and the Tucson Hopefest. Her only daughter lives in Tucson as well; her grandson recently graduated from the law enforcement academy.  She’s thinking seriously about adopting a greyhound since her pet birds flew away. Cross-stitch, crochet, knitting and other handcrafts keep her busy during any down time, and she unwinds to loud reggae.

Ashley Harper

Ashley is serving as an intern in many areas; you'll find her with our smallest kids on Wednesday evenings, helping out with computers and technical things...generally just being as helpful as possible!  She's a lifelong member of Emmanuel and is currently a senior at the University of Arizona.  She spent the summer of 2016 working with Navigators in southern California.  Her passion is to see that everyone hears that "Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life." Her easy smile and laugh will make you want to work with her!
