Ministry
Our four shared convictions (listed below) explain how we can all be moved toward a better life:
Caring
Genuine care can be the beginning of leading people to a better life. We believe that caring for people with consistency and compassion is one way to express our faith in Christ. Jesus saw needs and had compassion to meet those needs; He lived a life of action to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of people. We want to do the same.
Ways in which we care for Tucson:
- Maintaining a food pantry in order to provide emergency food boxes.
- Offering breakfast on Sunday mornings at 8am to everybody who drops in.
- Giving haircuts, doing laundry, and cooking a hot meal for our Good Samaritan Project on the second Sunday of each month.
- Keeping coats and other clothing on hand.
- Providing space for El Rio to offer a clinic on Thursday afternoons staffed by a nurse practitioner and her staff.
- Partnering with Arizona Baptist Children’s Services to offer counseling, referrals, and care for hurting children and families.
- Offering Life Coaching courses on Wednesday evenings, such as Celebrate Recovery, Grief Support, and others.
Connecting
Connecting people to Christ and His church leads a person towards a better life. Our church leadership provides many opportunities to keep people connected to Christ, including our worship services, small groups, mission trips, and other personal growth challenges.
We also want to connect people to our CHURCH. People should be connected on THREE levels:
- Connect through our Worship Services
- Connect in a small group with others.
- Connect through ministering to others.
Coaching
We all want to experience a better life! You may need help with parenting skills, budgeting, substance abuse, prayer, in whatever way you need coaching, we want to provide an opportunity for you.
..train yourself to be godly. I Timothy 4:8

Catalyzing
A catalyst is a change agent, causing a reaction. Our hope is that you make a difference for Christ in the local community and beyond after being engaged at Emmanuel. We feel this was the calling of the New Testament church, and it remains for us today.
Acts 5:20Go, stand in the temple courts,
he said, and tell the people the full message of this new life.
As we care as Jesus did, connect to Christ and His church, and embrace life coaching, we can't help but become catalyst for Christ! We will make a difference! All for a Better Life.
