Core Beliefs
◻️ The Bible is the divine, inspired word of God that tells us what to believe and is our final authority for faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
◻️ There is one God, revealed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are all co-eternal and all stand equally superior. (2 Corinthians 13:14)
◻️ Jesus Christ came in the flesh, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay for our sins, was raised from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will come again to judge the living and the dead.
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4 , Titus 2:13)
◻️ We believe that all humanity is created in the image of God and possesses intrinsic dignity and worth. (Genesis 1:26-27)
◻️ Due to mankind's disobedience we have fallen from the state of righteousness in which we were first created into total spiritual depravity. We are now all sinners saved by faith alone in the finished work of Jesus Christ. By faith alone in the sacrifice of Jesus are we forgiven of our sins and invited into a new life through Him because of God's love for all people. (Romans 3:23 , Ephesians 2:8-9, 2 Corinthians 5:21)
◻️ All believers form the Church, in unity with all believers throughout history; and yet, the church is also local, with believers gathering in committed community and under the authority of Christ. The Church is the body of Christ and is God’s instrument for revealing His purpose and the fullness of Jesus on earth for His glory. (Ephesians 1:22-23, 3:10, Romans 12:5)
◻️ We believe that the Lord’s Supper (communion) and believer’s baptism is an obedient response to the command of Jesus. Baptism (by immersion) is to be performed only upon repentant and transformed believers in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:18-20)
◻️ The family is ordained by God and marriage is the covenant commitment of one man and one woman for a lifetime. Husbands and wives are equal, created in God’s image, and marriage should reflect God’s relationship with His people. As children are conceived they are to be considered a blessing and legacy from the Lord. (Genesis 2:20-25, Ephesians 5:25)
